Trucks that get 30 mpg?

Gas prices right now are very high and as much as people would want to save up on the fuel that they use, they know that they have no choice because they need to use their vehicles often. It can be even harder for people who are using trucks and SUVs. It can be challenging to find a 30 mpg truck right now probably because trucks usually eat up a lot of fuel when used.

For some people, instead of trying to find trucks or SUVs that have over 30 mpg, what they do instead is they just search for smaller cars to use. This is okay as long as purchasing a smaller car can be considered practical. Those who would like their family to be comfortable would have to purchase a vehicle that is big enough. While there are no trucks at the moment that has reached the 30 mpg mark, here are still trucks with good gas mileage to see:

  • 2014 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel

From the name itself, it is quite evident that there are so many things that have been done to this truck to make it more fuel efficient than it used to be. While the different things have helped, it still falls short on the 30 mpg mark. It falls on the 23 mpg mark.

  • 2015 Nissan Frontier

This is said to be one of the trucks right now that is not that expensive considering that it is only over $17,000 when bought brand new. It looks sleek enough to be used when travelling to different places although its mpg is only 21, it is still better than the trucks available in the past.

  • 2015 Toyota Tacoma

While this is more expensive than the Nissan Frontier, this is probably because of the different features that this vehicle can offer. It has mpg rating of 23 which is better than most of the trucks and even SUVs that are available.

Here is to hoping that the gas mileage for trucks can be further improved in the long run.
